Kerschbaumer Apartments - where you can breathe fresh mountain air

A true Eldorado for hiking, climbing and mountain biking awaits you in the sunny Valle Isarco, close to the Sciliar area and Val Gardena.

Hiking

Hiking in the Dolomites of South Tyrol makes for an intense and authentic nature experience. The region offers an impressive variety of landscapes, flora and fauna, which you can experience on foot. Numerous hikes with different levels of difficulty invite you to new mountain adventures every day and ensure healthy fun for both young and old at great heights. Explore the beauty of nature on a day hike to the nearby mountain hut Radlseehütte just above the Rodella Lake, the family-friendly “WoodyWalk” on the Plose or a tour along the “Adolf Munkel trail” under the imposing Odle peaks in Funes, which are a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Climbing

Nature has given us a real gift in South Tyrol with its rugged, rocky walls inviting you to go on adrenaline-filled climbing tours. The natural rock isn’t only for experienced mountaineers; beginners can also make their first attempts at climbing here with the help of an experienced mountain guide. Regardless of whether you’re a sport climber, bouldering fan or prefer high-alpine routes, you’re sure to find the right thing during your holiday with us! In the nearby Funes valley below the massive Odle peaks in the heart of the Dolomites, you can try both easy and challenging climbing tours in the adventure park. The high ropes course for children and adults is definitely a challenge.
In Chiusa, you will also find a challenging artificial outdoor climbing wall that is open to the public (near the swimming pool).

Cycling

Whether leisurely bike tours for the whole family along the Isarco river or demanding mountain bike tours through the mountains for those who aren’t afraid of a challenge, there is a suitable tour for everyone who likes to stay active on two wheels.
The new cycle path from the Brennero Pass to Bolzano - a section of the cross-border Munich-Verona cycle path - is a firm favourite with leisure cyclists. The path leads past the cultural medieval cities of Vipiteno, Bressanone and Chiusa and guarantees unforgettable half-day and day tours with miles of adventure.
There are also some impressive bike trails starting from our guest house, both high up and through the lower mountain area.

Swimming

In Velturno, you can make use of the heated outdoor swimming pool with a children's pool. Enjoy peace and warmth on the beautiful lawn where trees offer shaded spots to sit. In Bressanone, you’ll find the public Aquarena indoor and outdoor pool - South Tyrol's largest water park.

Tennis & Horse riding

  • The quartz sand tennis court in the Velturno sports zone is ideal for tennis enthusiasts, whether professionals or beginners.
  • The Valle Isarco offers a variety of options for first attempts at horse riding as well as horse trekking for experienced riders.
All-year-round experience

Let your senses run free. In summer, you can enjoy the magical view of the magnificent mountain scenery, which acquires a stunning soft pink hue as the days come to an end. Explore a wide range hiking trails in autumn, when the colourful leaves make an exciting crunch under your feet as you wander past numerous wine taverns. In winter, you can visit a variety of Christmas markets in the nearby towns and cities, which will put a twinkle in the eye of visitors of any age. Skiing, winter hiking and much more is also waiting for you. And once the last snow melts, the faint rays of the spring sun lure the first crocuses out of the meadows as nature reawakens to the happy twittering of birds, offering new opportunities for holidaymakers of all ages.
